Here comes the wind!

At last!  Planting season has officially begun here at Tranquil Ridge Farm.  We've been working hard in the greenhouses this weekend planting seeds and trying not to get blown away by all this crazy wind!  So far, we have planted onions, leeks, peppers, tomatoes, lettuce and spinach.  Thankfully, the greenhouses are staying nice and warm with the help of the sun!  Lettuce and spinach will be available by the 3rd week of April. 

100 baby chicks have arrived on the farm this week.  These girls will be laying fools by August!  Next week, we will be expecting the first batch of broilers of the year and will be ready for eating by May 1st.  So get your orders in, they will go fast! 

We do have eggs available now and also some smaller whole chickens available for purchase at $3.50/dz and $3.50/lb respectively.
