April showers bring May vegetables

Hope you all have had a chance to check out our CSA membership that we are offering this year.  We are so thankful to have had such a great response so far.  We are excited that there are so many people that share the same ideas about sustainable agriculture as we do!

The greenhouses are getting fuller by the day.  Lettuce, spinach,  tomatoes and strawberry plants are thriving.  It looks like the rain will let up soon.  We will be able to transplant broccoli and cabbage into the field.  Nate has been working non-stop preparing the ground for plantings.  He likes "playing" on the tractor!

Last, but not least, we are happy to announce the newest arrival to the farm this week.  His name is Percy.  Yes, you guessed it...a cat to catch those darn mice that seem to precisely pick out and eat newly planted seeds right out of the flats!

Won't be long before we're seeing green!!!
