Busy Bees

6/14/2009 8:49pm

We may have been a little busy the last month or so, hence the absence of our updates!  There is little chance to rest this time of year!

Reinforcements are coming this Tuesday...our friend from Honduras will be here to help us around the farm and to finish remodeling the house.

Farmers market is thriving!  We appreciate and love to see customers return week after week, which makes all the hard work worthwhile.  Sharing recipes is one of Emily's favorite things, and Nate loves to "talk vegetables"!

Expect to see a variety of veggies this week at the market: summer squash, cucumbers, zucchini, broccoli, kale, lettuce mix, swiss chard, collards, peas, fresh herbs, and possibly beans.  There are only a few cut-up whole and whole chickens available this week.  The next group of chickens are due to be processed around the first of July.  We'll have breasts, thighs, and legs available at that time.

Thanks again for all your support!
