Staff

Nate was born and raised in rural Montgomery County, just a few miles from where the farm is today.  He grew up on a small farm here in Darlington working with his dad and grandpa throughout high school. After a short stint at Purdue Univ. in 1994/95, he started a construction company that was in operation until 2008.  He has been looking for a way back into farming for about five years now.  Finally, all of the pieces fell into place.  Raising our vegetables and meat naturally is not only a common sense way of doing things, but also a passion to show the true rewards of high quality, healthy food.

Emily was born and raised in Rossville, Indiana.  She has a degree in Dental Hygiene and works at an office in Lafeyette.  Growing up, her mom and dad always kept a garden, and raised as much of their food as possible.  Her support and passion for a healthy lifestyle has helped make this dream a possibility.  After a full day of work cleaning teeth, she is still always ready to lend a hand in the fields.

Coda is our 6 year old Newfoundland/Labradorer mix that we adopted about 3 years ago.  Max is a Golden Retriver/Mastiff mix who is 3yrs old.  They love to follow Nate anywhere he goes!  Both are proud to protect our animals and let us know when someone or something is close by. If you visit the farm, don't be scared of their size; they are big, but have a gentle demeanor.

Jensen was born Oct 12, 2009.  He has already been outside in the fields helping mommy and daddy plant garlic and harvest greens (bundled up in his stroller of course!).  Soon he'll be his daddy's shadow and have dirt under his fingernails (and everywhere else!)
